When I was younger the town bully kept confronting me until one day it came to an actual physical confrontation (certainly not on my "to-do" list for that day). I avoided my dad that day so he would not find out. When I went to work the next day (Saturday) my father saw my face and other "battle scars" and he asked what happened followed by the dreaded question of "who won". I told him I "guess" I did as the other boy quit and walked away". At that time the other boy was walking across the street; my father took me by the arm to me the boy again. Oh me, again not on my to-do list for that day either. When we met the other boy my dad said, "do it again"! So I challenged the other boy again. To my surprise the other boy said he did not want to fight anymore and just wanted to be friends. My dad explained, "now there is no doubt in either of your minds". It was not about winning it was about not having any doubts. Today I think about, "do I leave no doubt that I belong to CHRIST (in my mind and in the minds of others)? 1 Peter 5:10, "...after you have suffered a little while, HE will restore you and make you strong and steadfast..." Do we belong to CHRIST in all ways and do we LEAVE NO DOUBT?
