How are we to Glorify GOD, when we can't define Glory any more than we can define GOD? Is Glorifying GOD, "doing good", "being Faithful" or "telling other about JESUS"? All of this us trying to "Glorify" with our own actions. Do we still think of Glory as some cosmic power and splendor? JESUS said, "...Glorify thou ME with THINE OWN SELF..." (John 17:5). JESUS wants us to know the love that HE and HIS FATHER have and includes us in it. How? It is GOD'S fullness, HE does not offer just part of HIM, HE offers all of HIMSELF IN US! It is saying, LORD, I cannot exist without YOUR intimacy any longer; it is a relationship that has no "distance" and saying "I must have YOUR presence. "HE that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the presence of GOD in us". GLORY is the fullness of GOD in us. GLORY is the intimacy with GOD where HE is, not where we are. Glory upon Glory; GOOD MORNING GLORY!

John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; MY peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." Peace is not the absence of conflict, worry or fear; it is the PRESENCE OF JESUS. HIS peace may be manifested most clearly during persecution and tribulation. In all that is happening DO YOU HAVE PEACE?
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! We have all heard, "the closer you get to GOD", the more satan attacks. Then we hear testimonies from people who tell their "gut wrenching" stories of how bad things are for them. Maybe we have been guilty of that too. But have you ever turned your eyes from looking, (and ears listening) at worthless things, and lived in GOD'S ways (Psalm 119:37)? It is a time when you "set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth (Colossians 3:1-2). When we are in the Presence of GOD, you know, seeing things through HIS eyes and being absorbed into THE SPIRIT, we don't realize we are being attacked. It is kinda like being in a warm dry house with a thunderstorm outside, you don't get wet until you walk outside. Do you really think satan can mess with you when you are under GOD'S umbrella? I am sure we all face the "cancer" or attacks in each of our lives, but when we are focused on GOD, WE HAVE NO CLUE.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! How many times have we tried to explain, or even understand, our relationship with CHRIST, just to find the inadequacy of our words and thoughts? JESUS said, "...the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went out and sold all that he had and bought it." (Matthew 13:45-46). When we see CHRIST as our loving and gracious SAVIOR, everything else becomes worthless to our thoughts. We are able to buy many things, some of great value, but not this PEARL which is priceless. It is HIS free gift! JESUS CHRIST is the True Treasure. The Scriptures are the way to search and know HIM. When we share HIM with others, use HIS own words (no interpretations or opinions); because NO ONE SAYS IT BETTER.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! When I am hungry, HE gives just enough; when I am afraid, HE gives just enough; and sometimes when I wonder how I will get through, HE gives just enough! Faith is not some "spiritual plateau" that we finally reach, nor is it like a "muscle" we continually build until we have enough. Joshua 24:19, "...You are not able to serve the LORD, for HE is a HOLY GOD..." To have a relationship with our Loving GOD is not impossible, but it cannot be done without Divine Assistance. Do we really realize that we have Faith, or is it just another attempt to describe our relationship with GOD? When we face a difficult situation do we think, "OK how much Faith do I have"? No, we ask GOD to see us through it (not take it away). When we depend on GOD, we have a relationship with HIM and Love HIM, and HE'S always JUST ENOUGH!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! Tomorrow is Monday, back to work and back to the grind, such a waste of time! What if your work was not just a physical and mental effort, but was an act of love and brought you closer to GOD? What if in the performance of your work you encouraged others, stimulated them to want to have a relationship with CHRIST? Don't stop now! What if your work relieved the fear of the poor, they saw the hand of GOD in what you do and gave GOD the Glory? Yes, our work is a Charity (some see it as time wasted and money thrown away) and when performed in love, a "seed" is sown, hope is given and All Grace abounds! 2 Corinthians 9:12, "For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the Saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to GOD." How can we not be joyful to perform our work where GOD is pleased? ENJOY SUNDAY, AND MONDAY TOO! Have a Blessed "SON"DAY!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! I prayed this way, I prayed that way, and still GOD didn't do it! Are Spiritual requests answered immediately, and do "worldly blessings" take longer? Do we ask for Spiritual Blessings, Spiritual healing and a Spiritual Relationship with GOD; or do we "skip" past the Spiritual part and get "right to the heart" of things (our laundry list, shopping lists, and "pouting lists, or it's NOT here yet lists") "We are here not to please man, but to please GOD..." (1 Thessalonians 2:4) I am here for GOD to please me, then I can please GOD! Or DO I HAVE IT BACKWARDS?
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! This week a friend of mine invited me to see his project at a manufacturing plant where he was working. He builds "robotics" and writes software that put planes together (very simply stated and I am sure I don't appreciate the intricacies due to my lack of knowledge on the subject). As we walked through he would introduce me to the plant workers and other engineers who were assisting. With each introduction I was informed of the individual's relationship with the LORD; then a brief description of their duties at the plant. I don't remember what they did at the plant but I remember each one's heart for OUR LORD. Yes, FIRST AND LASTING IMPRESSIONS! Psalm 51:10, "...Create in me a clean heart O GOD, and renew a right Spirit within me." GOD makes a FIRST AND LASTING IMPRESSION in our hearts; and no matter how we try to ignore it or explain it away it is always there. The next time we have the opportunity to introduce someone will it be an impression that Glorifies the LORD. If I ever get on a plane, I want it to be one these people built.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! As a boy I had these Friends, that apparently only my dog, "stick horse" and I, could see and hear. They were magnificent, beyond beautiful and they protected me. 2 Kings 6:16-17, "...Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them...O'LORD, please open his eyes that he may see." Elisha prayed that the LORD would open the eyes of faith, so he could see GOD'S protecting hand. The clearer sight we have of GOD'S sovereignty and love, the less we fear the troubles of earth. LORD we pray YOU open our eyes of faith to see "the mountain full of chariots of fire" and the protection we are under! Notice that Elisha did not try to convince his friend that everything would be ok; he PRAYED that his friend could have the same peace and confidence that he knew. Maybe in addition to telling others about CHRIST we can pray for them and each other too. Maybe even introduce them to your INVISIBLE FRIENDS. PEACE AND LOVE as you enJOY this day that GOD has made.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! How many times have we heard some dreadful news about someone, and we think that could happen to us? Our decisions and perceptions of circumstances comes from either "fear" or "Love". If we concentrate on "the situation", satan already has won the battle of our mind, and we act and react from "fear". Do we think of GOD as SOMEONE WHO sits away up in Heaven and moves us around, like "dolls" and "toy soldiers"? Or do we believe "that HE had to be made like us in every respect...", (Hebrews 2:17) and understands our disappointments, suffering, pain, fear and doubt? 2 Timothy 1:7, "for GOD gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love..." When we realize and accept the absolute Truth that HE is here to encourage our hearts and the HE is sufficient for our every need; our worrying will stop. BECAUSE HE'S BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!
