I watched a Christian yesterday listen to others, serve others and pray with others. When they spoke of JESUS their eyes automatically lifted up (not some "showmanship" when you want others to know how close you are to GOD) in complete adoration of being in HIS presence. A Servant of GOD? The lowest worldly position and yet the greatest Spiritual position. As a Servant there is nowhere to go but up (literally, AMEN?), no one wants your job and there is nothing others can do to cause you to fear or threaten you. Romans 12:11, "...fervent in Spirit, serving the LORD." Fervent, the bubbling over: over flowing like an artisan spring; natural and uninhibited. Service rendered in JOY benefits both the Servant and the Served. All other pleasures and possessions pale to service rendered in the Spirit of JOY! Yes, being a Servant to the LORD is not a position everyone wants; IT'S TRULY, JOB SECURITY!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD!

This all started when I again read, 2 Timothy 3:16 (incidentally, this is a way to remember scripture; John 3:16, 2 Timothy 3:16 by association; also the K.I.S.S. method: "Keep It Simply Scriptural"), where it says "...all scripture is inspired by GOD..." or "...all scripture is GOD breathed..." There is no Greek translation that results in "INSPIRED", only "spiring or spiration" which is to breathe out. Inspiring is to "breathe in", in Latin. Breathing is not a thought process we just do it, by the Design of GOD; it is LIFE! GOD breathes life into us and into the Scriptures. As for me, to be "INSPIRED" is to be "IN the SPIRIT" (Remember K.I.S.S.? Besides, this definition is something I can understand.) To be "IN the SPIRIT" isto be GOD BORNE and SPIRIT BORNE, and to BE ALIVE IN CHRIST! GOD breathes life into us and HE breathes life into HIS WORD. To be INSPIRED is to be IN THE SPIRIT and THE HOLY SPIRIT "inspires" us with Revelation and Understanding. Just BREATHE as it is GOD GIVEN LIFE, and we don't have to think whether to BREATHE IN, BREATHE OUT. K.I.S.S.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! What is the secret to attaining goals? If we don't achieve them, then they must have been unrealistic. If we do, then the "bar" was set to low! Why do we think we want to be "extraordinary" and then want to wear what is in style, do what is "politically" correct and yes, make a lot of money? We soon learn that getting that diploma, new car or making money provided no real satisfaction, because there was no PASSION FOR THE JOURNEY! Setting Goals involves attaining a specific objective in a specified time; somewhere in between, from beginning to end, we lose the JOY of the journey because we become distracted (THE REAL OBJECTIVE - LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST). Mark 10:52, "...Go your way...the man recovered his sight and followed JESUS." The man had his choice of what to do, and he chose to follow JESUS. His passion for the journey established his Goal and he continued to live it. GOALS ARE NOT ATTAINED, THEY ARE LIVED WITH PASSION!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! In the mornings, we moan a little louder when I bend over to put on our socks. We exhale so our tummy is not in the way of putting on our shoes. We no longer take the time, or the patience, to listen to idle "chatter" or to listen to that which does not minister Grace and edify the hearers. Proverbs 14:7, "Leave the presence of a fool..." Proverbs 26:4-5, "Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him." Thinking back, our parents weren't "grumpy" or lacked wisdom at all; they were more GODLY than we could have ever known, and WE WERE THE FOOLISH ONES.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! We start to pray and our mind drifts to other things, until there is no prayer at all. We start to read the Bible but our mind is like a "pin-ball machine" bouncing from one place to another, until we don't know what we've read. Revelation 1:19, "Write therefore the things that you have seen..." When we write down thoughts, prayers or experiences we automatically focus our full attention on them. Few, if any, of us can thoroughly write one thought and "think" another. Soon those thoughts and experiences are intimate prayers as they become LOVE LETTERS TO GOD. Nothing less than the LOVE LETTERS that King David and Daniel wrote TO GOD.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! Do we realize that we cry about good things? Rarely, if at all, do we cry about bad things. When we lose someone either by death or separation do we cry about bad memories, NO, we remember the good! Those good memories are the times we were closest to GOD. Lamentations 2:19, "Arise, cry out...pour out your heart like water in the presence of the LORD..." When we cry we involve every bit of our mind, body, soul, emotion and heart. When we cry out, there is no part of us that is not involved in our seeking the presence of GOD. When we cry out, GOD promises: "I will certainly hear their cry", Exodus 22:23. When we cry out about those "good things", we are being loved, and are loving, the way GOD meant for us to love. It is a glimpse of who we were truly made to be. We cry about good things which brings us into the presence of GOD! CRYING IS GODLY! AMEN!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! Have we ever reached a time in our life that Logic wasn't logical, Common Sense wasn't so common, and we realized our Wisdom was nothing more than "Foolishness"? This is a time when we did not, and have not, received what we deserved for our wrong doings. Instead we were Blessed with JOY and PEACE. This is a time when all we can say is, THANK YOU LORD! This is our shortest and most POWERFUL PRAYER! Numbers 6:24-26, "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make HIS face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up HIS countenance (the expression of calmness with composure showing approval and FAVOR) upon you and give you peace." All we can say is THANK YOU LORD; THAT'S ALL THAT NEED BE SAID!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! James 5:16, "...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Have you ever met someone who did not try to give you advice; instead they just began to pray for you? It was not some "formal scripted" prayer, it had power and energy! It was so Inspired that you knew GOD was breathing Spiritual Life into you. Prayer is the breath of a Spiritual Person, it has great power with GOD because it is of GOD! This prayer has Great Intensity and you know it will produce what is intended (effectual fervent). The SPIRIT OF GOD is praying with you, and the HOLY SPIRIT brings Divine Energy for GOD'S presence with you! You won't have to ask for it, GOD has already sent someone to give you ONE OF YOUR LIFE'S MOST SPECIAL MOMENTS TODAY! Know it, experience it and you will love it....AMEN!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! How many of us said, If I win the Lottery I am going to do so much good with the money? And if I win, I am going to make all of you multimillionaires! What about "Real Favor" from GOD? Do we really think that we can fathom the fullness of GOD'S love on this side of Eternity without knowing GOD'S Favor? Matthew 6:19-21, "Do not lay up treasures on earth...but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven..." Praying for Spiritual Blessings increases our relationship with GOD where we receive Peace and Contentment inside our Soul. Typically, when we receive Salvation we begin to search the Bible for that assurance of Salvation; we search to know HIS assurance of HIS forgiveness. Our testimonies are full of "Me, My and I", while we wait to go to HEAVEN. When we seek the Spiritual Favor of GOD, we must be "selfless and inquire of the LORD what is most important to HIM. Our greatest desire is to Glorify HIM. Our prayers and our life is to have HIM, know HIM and experience HIS Favor because HE wants so much more for us. And WE DON'T JUST PRAY TO GO TO HEAVEN!
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD! Mark 10:32, "...on their way to Jerusalem, and JESUS went before them; and they were amazed;...as they followed they were afraid..." Knowing HE had eaten HIS last Passover and knowing HE was taking this road for the last time, HE went with amazing JOY. HE went first, in the midst of danger and uncertainty. Maybe HE watched as the sand shifted beneath HIS feet; maybe HE gazed at the birds sailing in the wind currents above; or maybe HE saw the harmony of creation. Or maybe HE was thinking about you and me as HE knew we would face difficulty, like the disciples, when we choose to follow HIM. Maybe HE was even smiling and "chuckling" as HE thought about the "awakening" we will have, when we choose to follow HIM. Maybe HE laughed out loud, when HE thought about us living through adversity with HIS same JOY and PEACE. And maybe HE even danced a little, when HE thought about others seeking HIM because they saw, we didn't lose Faith during bad times. I think I know, WHAT HE WAS THINKING! AMEN...HALLELUIAH JESUS...!!!!!
