When we have offended someone do we go to them and ask "forgiveness"? Or do we just try to act as if nothing has happened by doing something nice for them? Is that repenting? We say, "GOD" knows our heart" in a feeble attempt to clear our conscience. 2 Corinthians 7:10, "For GODLY grief produces a repentance that leads to Salvation without regret..." GODLY SORROW versus "worldly sorrow" removes our pride, selfishness and vanity. We know we have offended or we wouldn't try to substitute actions in place of going to that person in repentance. We know within ourselves we have offended without them telling us. The HOLY SPIRIT within us, convicts us of our offense; do we listen and give a GODLY repentance by asking their forgiveness, OR DO WE JUST TRY TO MAKE THINGS BETTER ON OUR OWN? GODLY SORROW or worldly sorrow?
