DAY 4: TO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of GOD:..."  I don't need to hear how sinful and terrible I am; I ALREADY KNOW IT!  It only confirms the opinion I already have of myself and I sink deeper in my own hopelessness and guilt.  Even though they may be true statements, they are not the GOSPEL message.  TURN OR BURN!  Threatening people with HELL!  THAT IS NOT GOOD NEWS!  In fact the actual translation is: To Good To Be True - Good News!  JESUS died to make us righteous, all we have to do is Believe.  Our acceptance of GOD isn't based on how holy we are; it's based on JESUS' sacrifice for us. I don't have to hear how bad I am, I already know it; and I don't need to hear how good I am, because I won't believe it.  Tell me JESUS loves me as much as HE does Moses, King David, Mary, Joshua and Isaiah and I am speechless:  THAT IS JUST TO GOOD TO BE TRUE GOOD NEWS!  PRAYER:  LORD, I commit my day to YOU, trusting in YOUR unmerited FAVOR, wisdom and strength.  MY THOUGHT? I am not asking why, I am just accepting GOD'S gift of love and forgiveness.  I WILL MEDITATE ON?  GOD is no longer angry, HE draws me near with love and does not drive me away with fear.  JUST TO GOOD TO BE TRUE!  MY SONG?  JESUS LOVES ME.
