Elijah saw GOD defeat the prophets of Jezebel and work miracles before his eyes. Then, after she sent her army to kill him, he turns to GOD and says, "It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers." (1 Kings 19:4). Do we keep asking GOD to "Confirm" and "Reconfirm" what we already know, or do we do it to "remove our doubt"? When JESUS asked Peter "who do you say I am?" Peter replied, "YOU are the CHRIST, the SON of the living GOD." (Matthew 16:16); Peter already knew who JESUS was! Do we read the Bible to learn something new; or do we find ourselves encouraged and inspired, when we realize it is the CONFIRMATION OF WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW. GOD has already put eternity into man's heart (Ecclesiastes 3:11); so does GOD continually CONFIRM WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW?
Psalm 139: 23-24 Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD!
