A PHONE CALL!

I received a phone call yesterday that a friend of mine had died.  The first thing that came to my mind was that he died many years ago.  The Bible talks about death in various forms.  It discusses Death of the body that is buried and Death to the world and sin. My friend had lived a "wild" and untamed life before he accepted CHRIST.  When he accepted CHRIST he died to the world and it no longer had an influence him.  He no longer sought ambition and love of money, pride, and evil passions.  Those of us who knew him saw a beautiful change that affected all of our lives.  His words many times were quotes of the Bible that revealed wisdom, faith and enormous love.  His son who lived in another state sold his business and came to be with him.  Truly his heart's desire of witnessing for CHRIST.  Yes, he died many years ago to the world and he lives on now in eternity! Galatians 2:20, "...It is no longer I who live, but CHRIST who lives in me..."  I am Blessed to have known him and my tears are tears of JOY for this servant of GOD.
