A LESSON WELL LEARNED

A dad wanted his son to be more grateful for what they had, so he took his son to the country to see how poor people lived.  After a few days in the country they returned home, and the dad asked his son what he learned?  The son replied, "we have a swimming pool that goes to the garden, they have a creek that is endless;  we have a yard that goes to the street, they have meadows as far as we could see;  we have fences and police to protect us, they are surrounded by friends; we have street lights at night, they have vast skies full of stars; we have one dog, they have four!"  2 Corinthians 8:9, "...Our LORD JESUS CHRIST, though HE was rich, yet for your sake HE became poor, so that YOU through HIS poverty might become rich."  THE SON HUGGED HIS DAD AND SAID, "THANKS DAD FOR SHOWING ME HOW POOR WE ARE".
