The birds are singing, flowers blooming, everything is delightful and pleasant. Spring is like getting to witness re-creation. It is where the JOY of Heaven is expressed in the Spring of the earth. Spring represents a new and deeper relationship with GOD, and the conversion of Souls; where everything is fresh, untarnished, pure and new. Song of Solomon 2:12, "The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice is heard in our land." A time of renewal, A TIME WHEN WE HEAR GOD.

Darkness is not threatened by religion, doctrine, loud music, prophetic conventions or special meetings. Darkness is not worried about our "testimonies" or "confessions" of Truth. Darkness knows that to merely confess the Truth is nothing more than a system of thought, or a doctrine, or a philosophy. It knows that Truth must be an experience and something that is actually demonstrated for Faith to grow and Revelation provide understanding. Matthew 13:19, "When one hears the WORD and does not understand it; the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart." What the evil one cannot destroy, he pollutes and compromises; and what he cannot compromise, he destroys. Have you ever deeply and reverently confessed a sin, known you were forgiven and immediately been "tempted" and "tested" by the same sin you confessed? When you were tempted again and did not surrender to that temptation, your Faith became stronger, your understanding greater and you "demonstrated" the power of Truth; THE ULTIMATE CONFESSION! Confession and demonstration of Truth brings Revelation and Understanding. The darkness tries to "hide" and deceive us from the Revelation and understanding of the LIGHT. LIGHT destroys darkness! The darkness tries to keep us from demonstrating the Truth through, COMPROMISE AND DESTRUCTION!
When Aristotle was asked, "what is a friend"; he replied, "it is one soul dwelling in two bodies". Like flowers, we are created with our own distinct look and personality, but we remain a part of one species or body. Acts 4:32, "...those who believed were of one heart and soul...and no one said that anything that belonged to him was his own..." When we are ONE with JESUS, we think like HIM, we perfectly agree in our HOLY affections with HIM, and we are of one mind that is in perfect harmony with HIS commands and promises. We don't need to be concerned about choosing those we think are friends and feeling an obligation to them for our loyalties; when all we need to do is CHOOSE JESUS and those who CHOOSE HIM are your friends because: YOU ARE ONE SOUL, IN TWO BODIES. AMEN!
Prayers require more of the heart than of the tongue. The eloquence of prayer depends upon praying in GOD'S WILL, the fervent desire to know and obey HIM, and the simplicity of Faith. When we "pray" 'vain and repetitious prayers', it can become no more than babbling. Our using "soft words" to 'confess' our sins only confirms our rebellion to GOD; it reflects our insincerity to change, and our intentions to continue repeating this sin over and over. Matthew 6:7, "And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases..." Fine thoughts and politeness of expressions are not humble, GOD seeking prayers. Daniel 9:3-4, "...seeking HIM by prayer and pleas...and made my confessions..." Don't we realize that such "prayers" are an abomination to GOD? Don't we realize, if we are not with GOD, we are against HIM? Don't we realize that if we are not with GOD, the Scriptures become a "curse" and when we seek HIM and are in agreement with HIS WILL, we experience HIS love, mercy and Blessing? So, what is prayer to you? A CURSE OR A BLESSING?
Have you ever experienced a moment where something you thought you knew and saw everyday, took on a new and deeper meaning? Like a mystery becoming so clear that there was no doubt as to its origin, meaning and purpose. It was exhilarating and stupendous, and you wondered why it was ever a mystery at all! LORD, we pray today that everyone's eyes will be opened to YOUR awesome and unfathomable love and forgiveness; for YOUR GLORY. Luke 24:31, "...Their eyes were opened..." There are no words to describe being in YOUR presence where all things become crystal clear; not even the words, ASTOUNDING, EXTRAORDINARY AND INCREDIBLE!
Acts 2:37, "When they heard this, their hearts were pierced..." When Peter spoke, it was not as some fanatic. He spoke calm, composed and confidently penetrating the hearts of all those who heard him. Does GOD'S Word pierce our hearts in such a way that it brings a JOYeous Grief? Does it bring a deep sense of rememberance of our past; does it bring a painful conviction to our hearts; does it bring a readiness to do the WILL OF GOD? When our hearts are pierced, we no longer seek the reason of our minds, but the "season" of our Souls! Remember how you would oppose the "greatest" preachers before you were under the conviction of sin? Then as GOD'S Word prepared you to hear HIM, you were thankful to be taught by the obscurest Christian. When we see ourselves as we really are, THEN WE SEE JESUS AS HE REALLY IS!
Easter is over and Good Friday was a great time of reflection, but it's all ended now, until next year. How calloused and selfish we've become. There are people in the world "clutching" a few pages of Scripture in their hands as they go to sleep and wake up. They are trusting GOD for a few hours of sleep without fear; they wake up giving thanks for the rest, and they go to their knees in prayer and thanksgiving. Easter season continues for the next fifty days, until Pentecost. Maybe we can pray and ask the HOLY SPIRIT to lead us, like Peter and Paul, to live and share the Gospel. Acts 2:16, "For those people are not drunk, as you suppose..." Can you imagine being so filled with the HOLY SPIRIT that you feel the pain of those in pain; the despair of those who need hope; and the JOY of knowing CHRIST personally? When we wake up this morning, are we going to give Thanks to THE HOLY ONE and ask HIM what HE would have you do today; or are you going to stretch, get a cup of coffee and say, NOW WHAT?
