Luke 4:24, "Truly, I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown." Truly at the beginning of a sentence emphasizes that what is to follow is the Truth and is to be listened to. People who may have know us before our Salvation may doubt the Message we carry with us. Some prejudice often furnishes an objection against the humbling doctrine of the cross; and while it is the word of GOD that stirs up the "unrest" in others, they will blame the conduct or manner of the speaker. The doctrine of GOD'S sovereignty, HIS right to do HIS will, provokes proud men. They are jealous and angry when others have the favours they want. TRULY, a modern day Prophet only seeks the Glory of GOD and he knows the Scripture and Message is not "fulfilled" until it is heard, (Luke 4:21). Don't be discouraged because you are rejected, or even ridiculed, in sharing the Scriptures; because there is "one" person out there waiting for you to fulfill the Scriptures in their hearing. TRULY, you are the Prophet, GOD has appointed! TRULY!
