Have you ever thought this world would be better off without you? Do you feel the darkness is so deep that those around you with “the light” are being contaminated and better off without you? Do you feel you are hurting, discouraging and completely frustrating those around you? So, you are going to run away “to protect them”. The army of sin marching on you does not break rank (the locust metaphor in Joel) and no matter how much you try to resist, the army keeps coming. The home that was once like a meadow, full of peace and love has been devoured. FLIP THE SWITCH, GOD restores the wasted years! Joel 2:25, “I will make up to you the years…” No you can’t make it up to GOD and others; GOD says HE will make it up to you! Joel 2:26, “…WHO has dealt wondrously with you…” What is the moral of this story? Running isn’t always bad (when you let those you love know why), you can run from sin and you can run to GOD. JUST FLIP THE SWITCH. Psalm 139: 23-24
Isaiah 43:1 GOD IS GOD!
