Do we know people (or are one ourselves) who lie when the Truth would be easier? Do we use "flattering" lips and don't keep commitments, where others can put no confidence in what we say? Are our words and commitments empty? Psalm 12:2, "...with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak." St. Augustine describes us as: "A thing is not necessarily true because badly uttered, nor false because spoken magnificently..." Do we find great JOY when others see TRUTH in us; or are we deceivingly satisfied to be "A SMOOTH TALKER"?
